Summary
In the season opener, the A’s were matched-up against Team 12: Robins Custom Carpentry. This team was surprisingly friendly when compared to the other teams the A’s have faced in 2004.
The A’s fell behind early in the game. Perhaps its was the on and off rain or the rainbow that appeared late in the game, but the A’s managed to rally back and tie the at the top of the seventh. However, it was all in vein (not rain) as the Rick Palma gave-up a walk-off HR to end the game.
Highlights
A-WOL: 3Ks in 3 innings of work

Postgame Highlights
A day after the game, Chad, with assistance from Dan and Jennifer, lead a mutiny against the team. Joining the mutiny were Steve, Austin, Ryann, Nadine, Jamie and Melissa. (Trish would follow suit after game 2.) The players then succeeded from the team and formed their own team.
After learning word of the mutiny, Jason and John agreed to return to the Avengers in hopes of returning stability to the distraught ballclub.
