With clubhouse troubles finally behind them, the Avengers were eager make a fresh restart to the season. Ironically, this “new season” started the same way that it did last season: by losing to “Newman” and company. (Read the game summary.)

The A’s never had much of a chance against the very team that won the division at the softball complex in 2004. However, you must give the A’s credit for at least showing up. After all, when you play a team whose manager has the same name that the league is named after, (Bud Hall,) you just know things are not going to go in your favor.

  • The following players made their debute with the Avengers: Dale, Adam, Kim, Leslie, Kristina,

  • Dean was robbed of two run producing line drives by Team 2's 1st baseman, Alena.
  • A's pitching was able to limit "Newman" to fly outs, but were ineffective otherwise.
