    Despite Being Physically and Emotionally Drained, the A’s Take the Field

    Summary

    The night cap featured game two of the A’s double header against Hill Engineering. However, for many on the A’s bench, this was their third game of the day. As a result, the A’s bench that was both physically and emotionally drained.

    Regardless, the A’s came-out to play and the A’s defense reflected that all around, making great plays on the field and even keeping the HILL scoreless in two innings. However, the A’s scoring machine had run out of gas and just could not string the hits together to generate the runs. And thus, the A’s lost in the night cap 7-12.

  • Jason: 4 for 4 (2B, solo HR in 3rd) with an RBI and 2 runs scored
  • Dean: 3 for 3 (2B)
  • Renee: 2 for 2 (2B, SAC) with an RBI
  • Dale: 1 for 3 with 3 RBIs


  • Webgem: A-WOL made a falling catch at second to end the 3rd.
  • Webgem: John performed a diving body block in left field to keep the ball in front of him and to hold the runners. (4th inning)
  • Webgem: A Dale (LC) to Renee (3B) relay from the outfield to get the runner at third. (5th)


  • It was revealed that head league umpire Ron, A-WOL and former A's player Jamie all live in the same apartment block. Rumor has it that FOX is negotiating with the three to start a reality show that will be aired in the summer of 2006.
